How to Wash and Care for Bamboo Bedding

Gentle care helps bamboo bedding stay soft and smooth over time. The most important rules are to avoid excessive heat, harsh detergent and bleach.

Wash in Cold Water

Use a cold, gentle cycle and wash with similar lightweight fabrics. Heavy items such as towels can create unnecessary friction during washing.

Use a Mild Detergent

A small amount of mild detergent is usually enough. Avoid bleach and harsh laundry additives that can weaken fibres or affect colour.

Dry on Low Heat

Tumble dry on low or hang bedding to air dry. High heat can put additional stress on regenerated cellulose fibres and may shorten the life of the fabric.

Do Not Overload the Machine

Give sheets and duvet covers room to move. This improves rinsing and reduces creasing.

Store Bedding Clean and Dry

Make sure bedding is completely dry before folding and storing it. A cool, dry cupboard with good airflow is ideal.
